PHLS – Vehicle not online or 3 solid camera lights on immediately? What should I do?

Problem 1:
Recieved new SD Card + USB Hotspot w/SIM card to transition your old camera onto trackmycam.com – 3 LED light immediately goes SOLID and won’t go online.

Solution 1:

If you recently transition your camera over to trackmycam.com
and the camera powers on and 3 LED light immediately goes SOLID.

You may need a firmware upgrade.
Follow the link below to upgrade your camera to the latest firmware.

Problem 2:
Camera was online but recently have not went online.

Solution 2:

Below are few steps to check before contacting support by email: support@planethalo.com


Camera:

1. Physical Condition:

*Check for secure connection and proper plug seating on each port. 
*Check all connection ports for signs of damage or loose ports.  Damaged ports will render the camera in-operable.
(improper install / usage / tampering may result in damage ports).
* If damage, please report this by email to:  support@planethalo.com

2. LED Light:

Check for:

– Solid Green Recording Light. (good)

If blinking,
*Check SD card was properly inserted. Do not force the card in. Copper contacts on the sd card always face inside the cabin.
(Note – Top slot is Primary, Bottom slow is Secondary).
*Check SD card for wear. Old memory card may have reached their lifespan and is recommended to replace with new memory card.

– Solid Blue GPS Light.  (good)

If blinking,
*Check GPS Cable to be properly installed into the right port. Labeled GPS on the top side of camera.
(If this is plugged in, you may have bad signal from your location. Moving the vehicle in clear open skies will lock in a gps satellite signal) 

– Solid White Cloud Connection Light. (good)

If blinking,
*Check usb cable to connectivity on both ends.
*Check usb port for damage.
*Check usb hotspot information below.


Again, if you recently transition your camera over to trackmycam.com
and the camera powers on and 3 LED light immediately goes SOLID.

TrackMyCam.com – Cloud Server :

1. Online Status:
*Check if any error codes are present on your vehicle event history. This is a useful tool to check your camera health.

For example:

a. After selecting a vehicle to your left, Click the lightning icon.

b. This will bring you to the event history.


If codes are present online, go to the below link for help.

USB Hotspot

1. Physical Condition:

– Check all connection and be sure that the cable is plugged in and no damage is present.

2. LED Light:

– Solid & Blinking Blue light (good) – some hotspot have blinking green light. (good)

* If, Red led light is shown. Please check if sim card is damaged or missing inside.

* If sim card is damage or present but the camera won’t go online after all of the above steps,
